DR. MICHAEL WEBER
Founder of Modern Laser Therapy
Dr. Michael Weber is a certified bio-chemist and medical doctor living and practicing in Germany. For more than 30 years, he has been the head of three medical centers for general and internal medicine, pain, acupuncture and cancer treatment. He is also the developer of the patented Weberneedle medical laser devices for treatment of pain and cancer, which were financially supported by the German government and the European Union.
Dr. Weber is the president of the International Society for Medical Laser Applications. He is also co-editor of the German Journal - Pain and Acupuncture, and serves on the editorial board of Medical Acupuncture II, the official journal of the American Association for Medical Acupuncture (AAMA).
He conducts research in conjunction with multiple universities and institutions worldwide, and is the organizer of annual international conferences on laser medicine at the University of Göttingen in Germany.
DR. ARMANDO PINEDA VELEZ
Specialising in Nuclear Medicine
Dr. Armando Pineda Velez studied Medicine at the UNAM Faculty of Mexico in Mexico City. As undergraduate, he participated extensively in clinical research projects such as: Fetal Brain Monitoring; Pre Columbian Ancient Medicine in the Americas; Mayan Medicine; Cancer Research and alternative medicine.
He is Founder of the Mexican Institute of Cardiology and Master Teacher of the American Academy of Medical Sciences. During his training in Nuclear Medicine, Dr. Pineda Velez became part of the Mexican team of researchers lead by Drs. Luis Gonzalez Barcenas and Felipe Gordon, who helped Dr. Andrew V. Schally establish and label the entire repertoire of Hypothalamic Releasing Factors (LHRH, FSHRH, etc).
Dr. Pineda Velez’s fascination with the studies of Dr. Brown Sequard (France) and Dr. Gregorio Maranon (Spain) who pursued hormone replacement therapy at the turn of the 20th century, and later with the clinical research of Dr. Paul Niehans (Switzerland) on human hormonal replacement, anti aging and regenerative medicine led Dr. Pineda Velez to turn his attention to regenerative medicine.
DR. HENRY HORRILLENO
Specialising in Laparoscopic & Vascular Surgery
Dr. Horrilleno, born in the Philippines and currently residing in Dallas, is a retired general/bariatric surgeon. He is a graduate of the UST school of Medicine. He did an internship and a few years of residency at Makati Medical Center in the Philippines before coming to the U.S. for his residency in general surgery. After, he was certified by the American Board of Surgery. He remained and practiced in the U.S. while maintaining a close relationship with MMC, particularly with the surgeons who were his mentors.
Dr. Henry Horrilleno was instrumental in introducing laparoscopic surgery to the Philippines, and personally trained Makati Medical Center's first generation of laparoscopic surgeons. In addition, he established and launched MMC's bariatric surgery program.
He returned to the U.S. where he plans to open a regenerative, integrative, functional medicine practice, and later another in the Philippines.
